Hey Bike Party! A few weeks ago DCBP reached out via Facebook and Twitter for locals who wanted to help us design a poster for the next ride. We got an awesome contribution from Tyrone Clemons for our next ride. Look for the poster around town! Thank you Tyrone! 

Hey Bike Party– here’s the plan for next Wednesday 10/10. We’re meeting at 7:30 in DuPont, departing at 8. In summary– riding through Georgetown and Foggy Bottom, over to the Monument, weaving our way to say hey to the Nats (unless they win in 3, there will be a game that night, so get your “WOOs!” ready), we’ll have a pit stop by the river and head through Anacostia and back over the river where we’ll head to Trusty’s for some well deserved brews. Halloween Ride: We’re having a 2nd bike party in October for Halloween. We’ll meet at 8:30pm in DuPont on 10/27 for a short ride, ending in Columbia Heights. Dress up! Dress up your bikes!

Hey Bike Partiers. The next ride is on Wednesday, September 12th. We’re meeting at 7:30pm in the middle of DuPont Circle, departing at 8pm. Check out the route here. We’ll roll through downtown, past the White House, and up to RFK Stadium where we’ll take a pit stop to relax, hydrate and enjoy the awesome bike trailer soundsystem courtesy of their creator, Danny.

If you have any playlist suggestions, cut out the middle man and add whatever tracks you like to our Spotify Collaborative  Playlist.

After our pit stop we’ll ride through Chinatown and some of DC’s historic neighborhoods until we climb halfway up 18th Street and end up at Millie & Al’s for some $1.50 delayed happy hour drafts.

MONTHLY DC BIKE PARTY TO HOLD THIRD RIDE WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12

-Rapidly Growing Cycling Community to Explore Nation’s Capital from Dupont Circle to RFK Stadium to Adams Morgan-

WASHINGTON, DC – Continuing efforts to capitalize on Washington, DC’s large community of cycling enthusiasts, build friendships with like-minded individuals, and explore our nation’s capital, DC Bike Party will hold its third once-monthly riding event this Wednesday, September 12. The event, which held its first ride in July of this year, grew to nearly 40 attendees participating last month.

The group, this time departing from Dupont Circle, will set out to complete an approximately 11-mile ride, visiting some of the city’s main landmarks and attractions before ending with a celebration at Millie and Al’s in Adams Morgan. From Dupont Circle, the Bike Party will ride past the White House, the U.S. Capitol, and RFK Stadium before heading north through the city’s historic neighborhoods. “This free event is a phenomenal opportunity to explore the place many of us now call home while building friendships among DC residents of all backgrounds,” said Andrew Ricci, Communications Chair for DC Bike Party. “After a successful first two events, we look forward to continuing to grow this community on Wednesday and well into the future.”

About DC Bike Party:

The DC Bike Party is a once-monthly party ride around our Nation’s Capitol, with the route’s starting and ending points rotating every month. The District’s biking community, much like the city itself, is growing rapidly, and DC Bike Party’s goal is to be a positive part of this growth.  Each month, the event sets out to explore the city via bicycle, featuring an ever-changing route, new playlist for the ride, and a new post-ride bar. All post-ride outings are 21 and older. The DC Bike Party is a place to ride bikes, make friends, and have a real cool time.
